Operators that have limits (Sums, Products, Integrals) generally look better when the font size is larger.
When using an mtable, the default vertical padding produces excessive spacing, setting the top and bottom padding to zero fixes this.
Integrals by default stretch to cover an equation, but do so with a vertical body rather than one with a slight incline.
Right and left angle brackets do not stretch, see the Schwinger-Dyson equation. This is a bug in Firefox.
